About Carrie Henderson Weston I grew up in the beautiful, but annually frigid area of southwestern Michigan, which afforded great opportunities to be inspired by the written word as I sought solace from the ice and snow. From an early point in my life I knew that my calling was to use my communications abilities to enhance the lives of others and facilitate clear understanding. I am a grammar stickler who still believes that language needs to be readable. I hold a B.A. from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan-- with a minor in Philosophy. I also earned a Certificate of Christian Foundations from Kuyper College in Grand Rapids, Michigan. While pursuing my education I joined the International English Honor Society Sigma Tau Delta. This group prizes "Sincerity, Truth and Design" in the written word. These ideals have followed me into the professional world where I have worked as journalist for a small community newspaper and as a Feature Writer for a large international website. It has been, and continues to be my goal to put forth the utmost effort and dedication to every project that comes my way, whether an article on a community issue close to home, or a marketing piece for a large non-profit. |
